Dependent on the technical and economical basic conditions of the respective application WAT-membratec provides a wide range of processing systems:

This includes not only chemical  treatment, such as neutralization, precipitation, flocculation, adsorption, ion exchange and catalysis, but also oxidation and disinfection as well as conditioning for corrosion and deposit prevention.

We are also focusing on mechanical separation processes from sedimentation and screening, and further filtration with deep bed and cartridge filters up to the membrane-based micro and ultra filtration managed in either dead-end or cross flow.

Much more selective separation capacity is achieved by the utilization of nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes and also very low residual contents by combination of ion exchange and ion selective membranes in the electrodeionization process. Membrane contactors serve to aeration and degassing of liquids.

The specific application of  biological  process in the form of purpose-built filter beds, activation basins or fermenters, also combined with biomass separation by means of membranes,  permits fast conversion of matters at low energy consumption.

There are also many areas where  thermal  processing, such as degassing of boiler feedwater in mixing condensers or disinfection of infectious waste water in sterilization apparatus with specific heat recovery systems plays an important role.

WAT-membratec, of course, provides also the complete periphery  such as tank and piping system made of all kinds of material from high-alloy or coated steel up to thermoplastics, also of ultra pure water design.

In most cases an automation system with control elements and visualization is constituent part of a functioning unit. The in-house manufactured control cabinets based on the widespread PLC and bus systems are customized to various specifications. The systems are also equipped with data line or mobile radio monitoring.

Present Projects

April 2005

The Mayor and Operations Manager of the city of  Sundern break ground for the new waterworks building. Here a new preparation plant by means of active carbon and ultrafiltration with a maximum capacity of 250 m³/h being built in the course of the next years.

March 2005

WAT-membratec has got the order for the construction of an ion exchange plant with an average capacity of 325 m³/h for the preparation of process water in a chemical production factory.

February 2005

Supply lines for one of the biggest dyalisis stations are installed in the new building of the University Hospital Mainz. Besides the preparation plants for the production of ultra pure water, WAT-membratec was placed the order for the delivery of the complete supply system.
